For the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant and
the church of St James Garlickhythe

Welcome

A new ring of bells has arrived in the City of London. They were cast at the Whitechapel Bell Foundry in Feb/Mar 2012, were erected in their own tower on a boat on the River Thames, and rang out at the head of the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant on Sunday 3rd June, 2012.  They were hung in the tower of the Parish Church of St James Garlickhythe on Garlick Hill during June/July 2012.  In both the Pageant and the Tower, the bells were hung for full circle change ringing and manned by ringers.

Bell ringers all over the country and the Commonwealth rang their bells at 3pm on 3rd June to coincide with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Towers ringing are listed here,
